I just bought this machine, the box says the AC adapter is not included. I was ready to use it with batteries and open the box to my suprise the adapter is included. I use it to hem some pants and fix the zipper on my dogs bed. It works perfect! I never sown in my life, hate it, but this machine made it fun. The foot pedal is a great tool. Instructions could be more helpful or graphic since markets those inexperienced (like me). But for the price it's a great machine.
I'm just starting out with sewing and this machine is so simple. Nothing fancy. It's great as a beginner to not have a lot of options. My only problem (I'm still giving it a 5 because it may be my own stupidity =) ) is that the thread tends to come out of the needle so I have to re-lace it with every new beginning. Again GREAT for beginners
